Grange Insurance Association has received approval in Oregon to change its legal name to Granwest Insurance Company, part of a broader rebranding initiative that will take effect July 1, 2026.
The filing, submitted on March 6, 2026 and approved the following day, introduces a change of name endorsement that will apply to existing policies while leaving all policy terms and coverage unchanged.
According to the filing, the rebrand is intended for marketing purposes and does not involve changes to corporate structure, ownership, rates, underwriting guidelines, or policy language.

The company currently has the following personal lines policyholders in Oregon:
-
Personal Auto: 1,572
-
Homeowners: 3,057
-
Dwelling Fire: 208
-
Personal Umbrella: 88
Policyholders will receive a rebranding notice ahead of the transition, and new declarations pages will begin displaying the Granwest name and logo starting July 1, 2026.
The insurer said the name Granwest reflects its western regional focus and agricultural heritage, combining “gran,” derived from the Latin word for seed, with “west” to symbolize growth and expansion across the communities it serves.
