Everspan Insurance Company is entering the Commercial Multi-Peril market with the launch of its Authentic Businessowners program, according to a filing submitted in Connecticut. Approved on June 17, 2025, the initial rate, rule, and form filing establishes a new package policy combining commercial property and general liability coverage.

The program adopts ISO standard forms, including GL-2022-OFR22 for General Liability, and incorporates proprietary endorsements with “AL,” “AP,” and “AU” prefixes. There are currently no active policyholders.

Rates match those used in the countrywide Spectrum BOP program filed by Hartford Underwriters Insurance Company.

Authentic Insurance Services and Canary Consulting are managing the filing on behalf of Everspan. Competitor programs cited include offerings from Liberty Mutual, Hartford, Cincinnati Insurance, and SiriusPoint. No technology or distribution partners were disclosed.

Authentic Insurance was founded in 2022 and has raised $16.5 million to launch captive insurance programs.
