BrightShore Files Rhode Island Homeowners Program With Flood Coverage

BrightShore Insurance Company has filed a new homeowners insurance program with a flood endorsement in Rhode Island, proposing a January 1, 2027, effective date for new business and renewals.

The program uses an HO-3 policy form and includes ShoreOne enhancement endorsements for primary and secondary residences. The form package also includes endorsements for homes under construction, rental use, and residences held in a trust or by an entity.

According to the filing, rates are based on the company’s experience in other states and experience with a non-admitted product in Rhode Island.

Cuanto Consulting submitted the filing on October 5. It remains pending and does not report projected premium or policy counts.
