Assurance Express has filed a new vehicle service contract form in Connecticut for its Hero VSC product, marking a fresh program submission rather than a revision to an existing contract.
The filing, submitted January 19, 2026, is a forms-only submission covering a dealer-distributed vehicle service contract administered by Hero Protects. Assurance Express is listed as the obligor, with contract performance backed by reimbursement insurance provided by Lyndon Southern Insurance Company.

The Hero VSC is structured around multiple coverage tiers, ranging from limited powertrain-style protection to broader “Absolute” and “Wrap” coverage options. Covered components can include engine, transmission, drivetrain, electrical, suspension, steering, air conditioning, and hybrid propulsion systems, depending on the coverage level selected. Labor reimbursement is capped at $125 per hour unless a market labor rate option is elected, and deductibles vary based on plan design, including a vanishing deductible option when repairs are completed at the selling dealer.
Optional surcharges expand eligibility and coverage for business use vehicles, Canadian vehicles, lift kits, oversized tires, seals and gaskets, and hybrid systems. The contract also includes ancillary benefits such as rental car reimbursement, towing, roadside assistance, and trip interruption coverage, subject to defined limits.
Assurance Express notes that the submission is entirely new and does not replace any previously approved forms.
